About the Artist
Richard Healy is a Dublin-born artist who graduated from the National College of Art and Design in 2000 with an Honours Degree in Fine Art Sculpture. Working primarily in stone and bronze, his practice draws deeply on the natural world — its forms, textures and quiet rhythms.
Richard's sculptures are held in private collections across Ireland, Europe and the Far East. He has exhibited at the RDS, represented Ireland at the Enjoy Art exhibition in Taiwan, and was commissioned by the OPW for the sensory garden at Áras an Uachtaráin. His piece Tripod won first prize at the RDS Craft Show 2011.
Richard is a committee member of Sculpture in Context and teaches stone carving workshops from his D15 Studios in Dublin.

Craft
Alongside his sculpture practice, Richard creates bespoke letter-carved works — from public commissions and architectural signage, to deeply personal memorials and headstones.
Every memorial begins with a conversation. The client's wishes, their choice of material, letter design and sentiment are all carefully considered before work begins. All lettering is hand-drawn and hand-carved.
Notable commissions include the lettering and signage for Trinity House, commissioned by the OPW, and a range of private memorials across Ireland and beyond.
Work With Richard
Richard welcomes enquiries for private and public commissions — from garden sculptures and corporate pieces to intimate personal memorials. Each work is approached with the same care and craft.
